...Auf meinen Wunsch hat Rainer auf Chrom Type II Kassetten ohne Dolby aufgenommen.
Die Preise für Rainers Kassetten sind fast schon sensationell günstig. Man erhält eine Kassette mit einem professionell gestalteten Einleger und Etiketten.
Zur Qualität der Aufnahmen auf den Kassetten möchte ich was schreiben: Die sind nämlich auf allen drei Kassetten erstklassig, bestmöglich ausgesteuert und nicht zu vergleichen mit sonstigen Kaufkassetten. Die Tonqualität ist 1a, das Bandrauschen ist auch ohne Dolby bei Zimmerlautstärke praktisch nicht zu hören. Erst wenn’s lauter weder soll, hört man ein leises Rauschen.
Perfekt testen kann man das mit dem „Oceans Creek“ Band. Da in Kunstkopftechnik aufgenommen, hört man das auch am Besten mit Kopfhörer. Nach der für Kunstkopf üblichen Eingewöhnungszeit (am Anfang hört das Gehirn die Darbietung direkt zwischen den Ohren, nach kurzer Zeit wandert das Geschehen dann aber nach vorne) heißt es nur noch Augen zu und genießen.
Danke Rainer, daß du die Idee aufgegriffen hast und deine Masterband-Kopien auch uns Nicht-Tonbandlern nun auch auf Kassette zur Verfügung stellst!

...At my request, Rainer recorded on Chrom Type II cassettes without Dolby.
The prices for Rainer's cassettes are almost sensationally cheap. You receive a cassette with a professionally designed insert and labels.
I would like to write something about the quality of the recordings on the cassettes: They are first class on all three cassettes, controlled in the best possible way and cannot be compared with other purchased cassettes. The sound quality is 1a, the tape hiss is practically inaudible even without Dolby at room volume. Only when you want it to be louder do you hear a quiet hissing noise.
You can test this perfectly with the “Oceans Creek” band. Since it was recorded using dummy head technology, it's best listened to with headphones. After the usual adjustment period for artificial heads (in the beginning the brain hears the performance directly between the ears, but after a short time the action moves to the front) all you have to do is close your eyes and enjoy.
Thank you Rainer for taking up the idea and making your master tape copies available to us non-tape players on cassette!
Eine Kassette, aufgenommen mit Dolby B auf Normalband ( Typ 1) auf seinem TEAC-Deck.
Titel: "Moonlight in Vermont"! Das Inlet, wie auch der Aufkleber auf der Kassette ist, wie nicht anders von Rainer bekannt, in Profiqualität gestaltet, gedruckt und ausgeführt.
Auch die Kassette selbst hat ein „stylisches“ Gehäuse.
Und nun werden die Ohren gespitzt. Erster Hördurchgang mit dem REVOX B215.
Jazz ist ja nun nicht so meins, aber was da von dem kleinen Tape zu hören ist, ist schon klasse. Sauber gestaffelte Räumlichkeit, Rainers bekannt livehaftige und natürliche Atmosphäre kommt auch hier voll rüber.
Da ja Kassetten bezüglich Abspielgerät etwas zickig sein können, habe ich das Tape auch noch auf meinem MARANTZ SD-930 gehört… Auch hier einfach klasse! Meine Ohren finden nicht‘s, was zu bemängeln wäre, im Gegenteil!
Rainer, Du hast‘s geschafft, großen Klang ins Hosentaschenformat zu verpacken.
Vielleicht solltest Du dieses Format in Dein Angebot dauerhaft aufnehmen?

Jazz isn't really my thing, but what you can hear on the little tape is really great. Cleanly staggered space, Rainer's well-known lively and natural atmosphere comes across here too.
Since cassettes can be a bit tricky when it comes to the playback device, I also listened to the tape on my MARANTZ SD-930... Again, just great! My ears don't find anything to complain about, on the contrary!
Rainer, you have managed to pack great sound into a pocket size.
Maybe you should permanently include this format in your offering?
